Student-made Music Videos
Jan 29, 2011 @ 9:35am
This Winter Camp, my classes made music videos!
We copied the style of a very popular rock song: “Rockstar” by Nickelback.
Students used their own cameras to record themselves and their friends all around school, and around town! The work was hard, but it was definitely fun.
Please enjoy our videos!

what’s up, Anthony!

i’m 오승연 who did winter camp with you
but why is ‘sk8ter boi’ blocked in our country on copyright grounds???
only oursㅠㅠ
Oh no! It’s blocked because of copyright reasons. It’s a little complicated.
You can download the original and upload to Naver, Daum, Cyworld, or wherever.
I will try to find an alternate site.

Oh, thanks! It works
These videos are great and I will be doing this for my after school class at my girls middle school! Thank you so much (also added you to my blog roll so other teachers can link to your great resources!)
Thanks! If you need any advice or tips let me know. I had meant to put my lesson on Waygook but had forgotten. I used a point guide that showed students the different ways they could get points (i.e. doing one line on a bridge = 2pts, or getting the principal to sing one line = 10 pts, etc.).
Great job! I want to do these with my students. What software are you using for your edits? How did the students get cameras?
